Election Day

Election day in America! What a fun day. I've been voting in every election since I turned 18 and I always vote the day of the election. I woke up like a kid on Christmas LOL. It was the first thing on my mind when I woke up way too early. I knew I wouldn't be able to go back to sleep so I decided to hop on the Peloton and squeeze in a workout before the boys needed to get ready for school. I got dressed right away and headed straight to my favorite polling center. I was early but I was still really surprised at how quiet it was. There were several cars in the parking lot but not like I've seen it in the past. Normally I've waited about 30-45 minutes but today Wells and I popped right on in and went straight to the voting booth. He ate some Chick Fil A breakfast while I carefully filled out my ballot. We got our stickers then went on our way!

I love politics and have since I was a very young teenager. I majored in Political Science and wanted to be a press secretary. My TV pretty much stays on the news all day (well, pre-covid it did. Now we just keep it on Disney Jr, ha! I got tired of feeling like I was having an anxiety attack every time I watched the news) and I spend a lot of time every day reading up on the latest political information. I also LOVE America and am a proud patriot!! I think we live in the greatest country in the world.
There have been plenty of elections that haven't gone the way I hoped they would but I still proudly cast my vote and love each and every election that I get to participate in. I feel a little (or a lot) more invested in this election than any previous elections I've participated in. I think maybe everyone feels that way? Regardless, I know whatever the outcome is, it is all a part of God's plan. And I always, always trust in His plan. God Bless America!
