The Perfect Tailgate Weather

I had a really fun weekend! On Friday night we met some friends at Theos after work for happy hour then went to some other friends house after for dinner.
On Saturday I went tailgating for the first time this football season. Scott and I typically never miss a tailgate/game but this has just been a weird season. It's always rained or the game has been super early so we just haven't bothered to go. However, we didn't want to miss our last home game so we went to Fayetteville and got our tailgate on!
Scott left early with the boys while I ate lunch with the girls first then headed down after. Our tailgating got delayed a tiny bit because of my crazy puppies. All of the girls met at my house to ride down together and Ivy, my little clepto, snooped around in one of my friends (who shall remain nameless) bags and found her Beano pills. Ivy and Madison helped themselves to half a bottle before I noticed. Of course I got worried and called the vet and asked if I should bring them in. I was reassured that they would be just fine so after that debacle we were finally able to head down to tailgate----but not without a lot of laughs on behalf of my crazy dogs and my friend who had Beano.
Saturday's tailgate was the epitome of perfect! The weather was exactly how football weather should be. The trees in Fayetteville were gorgeous and there was a tiny chill in the air. The spot that we tailgate at is right by this little creek and I noticed some leaves had fallen in it and it looked so pretty so I decided to take a photo of it. Brad called me out in front of everyone and said "Look everyone Kara is about to Instagram, the leaves are so pretty hashtag tailgate." You probably had to be there but it was so funny and I still chuckle every time I think about it.
Once the tailgate was wrapping up we decided to go home to watch the game. I knew it would be freezing once the sun went down and I didn't really bring anything to keep me warm.
I'm so glad we were finally able to get a tailgate in this season. I'm pretty sure we picked the best one too! I can't say much for the game and I'm not sure we'll be much better next year but I have faith that we'll have an awesome team in just a few short years. Go Hogs!!
