Bennett | 18 Months Old

Bennett is 18 months old today! Where has the time gone? He has changed SO much just this week. On Monday he learned how to open doors and climb on the bed. What? Scott and I watched him do both things with shock (and horror honestly). How is he old enough to be able to do this? I wanted to share a little update on Bennett for my records.
Weight: 24.2 pounds on our scale at home while wearing all clothes and shoes so probably a little lighter than that :)

Height: 30 inches tall according to my measuring tape!
Sleep: Bennett sleeps from 7:30-7:00 and takes one nap a day around 1:00. He naps for about 2-2.5 hours. He dropped his morning nap about a month ago and just in the last week he's adjusted to just one nap a lot better. I feel like merging from two naps to one is a hard one. Or at least it has been with both of my boys.

Eat: Bennett isn't a great eater. He loves fruit, yogurt and applesauce. He'll eat rice, PB&J, peas, carrots, green beans and sometimes grilled cheese. He loves any breakfast food (that's sweet) and he also enjoys sharing food with his sisters.
Clothes: Bennett pretty much wears all size 12/18 month clothes. Just last week he moved up to size 18/24 month Kickee Pants pajamas and he wears a size 4 shoe.

Diapers: He is currently in his last pack of size 4 diapers. A few months ago I switched him to Honest diapers because we kept having trouble with Pampers. I do the bundle that ships monthly and I moved him up to size 5 for our next shipment. I love Honest diapers and wish I had started using them sooner.
Likes: Mickey Mouse, applesauce, toys that you pull with a string, music, books (Little Blue Truck Halloween is his favorite), going to MDO, taking baths, smoothies, being held.

Dislikes: Feeling left out. When Campbell takes a toy away from him. Being hungry.

Milestones: Bennett suddenly seems like such a big boy. He is a really good talker and his teachers at MDO always comment on his verbal skills. He can say so many words (20+) and tell you how the cow and sheep go. He always answers "yeah" or "uh uh" for yes and no and will tell you when he's ready for "night night." He feeds himself with a fork or spoon, brushes his teeth and can wash his own hands. He loves dogs and yells "doggie!!!!!" every time he sees one.  He throws balls and when I say something like "where did you put your bowl?" He points in the direction it is and will go and get it.
All About Bennett: Bennett is a mess. He has a lot of personality. He has always been an imitator and he mimics so much of what we do. I am so impressed with his verbal skills. He can say so many words and any time I tell him to say something he always tries to say it and does a really good job of it too. We went quite a few weeks of him being really fussy and almost unpleasant to be around. I complained about it on Facebook and I guess someone told him and he got embarrassed because he quit being so fussy and has been back to his normal self ever since. Praise the Lord. Bennett loves his family and wants to be big so bad. He doesn't care about TV but he does love Mickey. He is still totally attached to the paci (not that I've tried at all to take it away from him so that's my bad) and even though he needs a haircut, I don't plan to give him one any time soon. Bennett is yummy and precious and an absolute mess. He brings a lot of chuckles and entertainment to our house. I couldn't love him more if I tried.
Happy 1.5 birthday Boo! You're the best.
