Happy Hump Day! Whew! I'm tired. My first day at my new job went great. They put me to work right away. I got to spend my first hour by researching the top fall trends for 2011 on sites like Elle, Vogue, Marie Claire, and InStyle. Die. I actually had a moment where I thought to myself 'I can't believe I'm getting paid to do this!!!!'

I'm in charge of mass emails/mailed invitations inviting clients to trunk shows, previews, runway shows etc. so I had to do research for that. We're already having a fall preview show next Friday and Saturday so I'm really excited about preparing for it. Ropa has amazing clothes right now. Of course fall duds have always been my favorite so maybe I'm biased.

Not only will I take care of the mass emails/promotions--I also get to speak with reps (like DVF, Tory, Rachel Zoe etc.) about coming to do trunk shows. Plus, I'm going to start up a blog for the store and do a lot of social networking which I'm obviously excited about. AND I get to do client closet organizing (here's where my OCD gets to be put to good use!!!) and of course styling. I die. I almost feel like Anne Hathaway in The Devil Wears Prada. Except with a much nicer boss. Needless to say--I think I'm going to love! Cheers! (I indulged in a weekday glass--or two--for celebration + dinner at Basils)

PS: My sweet little precious baby girl got a haircut today. She's still in Little Rock with my parents but will be back here early next week. Mom said the groomers called and said she had really bad knots and it was hurting Holly to try and get them out. So they had to buzz her. Ahhh!!! Mom said her legs look like those of a chihuahua! And she said Holly doesn't seem to be too embarrassed. I don't care what her hairstyle is, she'll always be a cutie--cutie patootie!!!
