Glasses

Something strange has been happening to me with my contacts the last few months. My eyes get really irritated if I leave them in too long. I've been wearing contacts for about 10 years now. I've always been really bad about never taking them out and waiting way longer than the 2 weeks allotted before changing them. I'm always very honest about that with my doctor and I always get a little scolded but my eyesight hasn't changed the whole decade I've been wearing contacts so I've always been pretty blasé about it. Plus, contacts are expensive! I started noticing my eyes getting irritated in the summer and I asked my doctor about it. He said it doesn't look like anything is wrong. I figured out a solution though. My eyes don't itch and water if I take my contacts out every night and I try to have 1 day a week where I only wear my glasses. It's annoying but I guess it's for the best. I've always felt guilty that I neglected my eyes. Now I'm forced to be good to them!!


Now that I'm finished with that exciting story I'll move on to another. Our weekend was really great! It was so nice to have Scott all to myself. We stayed in Friday night and watched a movie. We had a super lazy day Saturday then had a nice meal out at Basils. When we got home at 9:30 Scott went to bed. He has been in major need of sleep and I hope he got caught up this weekend. Sunday morning was one of those where everything was crazy. We left our house for church 4 minutes after the service had already started!! By the time we made it, it was 25 after. I decided we should maybe skip out. I felt bad but we were just so late. We didn't go to church last week either. I set my alarm but decided Scott really needed the sleep so I didn't wake him up. Maybe next week we can actually make it!! I always feel so bad when I don't go.


Finally, Holly never wants to go outside but she stood by the front door looking at me for a really long time. I took the hint so we enjoyed some fresh air together! It was nice.
