30 Weeks

Wow! I can't believe I'm in the 30's now. While it's highly unlikely, I could have this baby in just 7 weeks since 37 weeks is technically considered full term. When I pointed that out to Scott his eyes got really big and he said "that's just crazy." The weeks are flying by so fast I almost feel like I can't keep up. Here is this week's update!!

Size of Baby: 15.7 inches long and 3 pounds, about the size of a large cabbage. I had an appointment with my doctor yesterday and Campbell measured exactly a week ahead which means he's probably more like 3.5 pounds. I'm so worried he's going to be a big baby thanks to Scott who weighed 9 pounds, 3 ounces when he was born. Seriously, I lose sleep over this. We're going to do another ultrasound in 2 weeks and actually weigh Campbell because I really, really need to know what I'm going to be working with in 10 weeks. The possibility that he could be on the bigger side is giving me serious anxiety and I'm not even joking. I've cried a few times over it.

How I'm Feeling: I've felt fantastic this week! I have started to experience Braxton Hicks contractions every day now and they're actually pretty strong.

Cravings/Appetite: I bought some purple grapes and I can't stop eating them! I'm glad I've chosen a healthy snack to crave this week instead of the sweets and chocolate that I typically go after.

Clothes: I've been coming up with new ways to be able to make a lot of my clothes work this week which has been nice. I'm still loving my Hue leggings and as long as I layer with a long tank, I'm able to squeeze into a decent amount of my regular tops and sweaters. Everything I've worn this week has been non-maternity (even my pants) and I know it sounds ridiculous but I told Scott it gives me a little boost that I'm still able to do that.
Movement: My little mover isn't slowing down! Scott and I were laying in bed on Wednesday night and Scott was feeling him kicking and we couldn't stop laughing because it was non stop and so forceful. Scott couldn't believe how much he was moving and now he's worried that our little boy is going to be a wild one!

Changes in Me: I had my weekly weigh in this morning and I've officially gained 10 pounds. At my last appointment I was a little concerned that I wasn't gaining enough weight (who would have ever thought I'd be worried about that) but my doctor reassured me that everything is okay since my belly always measures correctly and Campbell is obviously just fine in the growth department. She said with how sick I've been, especially during the first trimester, she's not surprised that I haven't gained much weight. If she's not worried, I'm certainly not worried and if things continue going like they are now, I'll probably gain around 20 pounds by the time this is all said and done. No complaints here!

Baby Purchases: I want Campbell to love books so I've slowly been stocking up on them to get him a little library started. I was at Barnes and Noble this week getting a few classics and when I was checking out, the lady suggested I get this book that's a special Valentines price right now. At first I said no but she kept going on and on about how good it was so I gave in. Y'all. It is seriously the cutest book ever. If you have little ones you must get them this book.
Favorite Moment This Week: At my appointment yesterday we were checking Campbell's heart rate and the little nugget had the hiccups. The doppler was not only picking up the beat of his heart but the sound of his hiccups as well! It was kind of really cute.

Looking Forward To: Finishing the nursery. I'm gonna get there one of these days....I just know it.
