FIVE

Tomorrow I will celebrate 5 years of marriage to my wonderful husband and partner for life, Scott. I can't believe we've been married for 5 years now. It definitely doesn't seem like it's been that long. I can remember our beautiful wedding like it was yesterday. Everything about the day was perfect and if I could relive the day over and over I would.
Our wedding was a wonderful start to our marriage and life together. I've never had a single bit of doubt about the happiness that would be brought to me by spending my life with Scott. I knew after dating Scott for just 2 weeks that I would spend my life with him. I know that when God made me, he made Scott at the same time and set us aside to be together and I feel like the luckiest girl in the world that God gave me such an amazing man to spend my life with.
Like any couple we've had our highs and we've had our lows. I can honestly say that I've never been happier in my life and marriage than I am right now though. I didn't think I could love Scott any more than I did the day I married him but I love him more today than I did 5 years ago. We've talked recently about how we feel like we've worked out those little kinks that used to hang us up the first few years of marriage. We've by no means figured out the secret to the fairy tale, but life together seems to get easier and easier as the months and years go by. I know there are many bumps in the road awaiting us but I made a promise to Scott that I would be with him until death separates us and nothing has ever made me regret that promise.
Scott makes me feel so comfortable and so safe. He takes such good care of me and his love for me is unquestionable. He showers me with compliments and always makes me feel pretty even on the days that I feel anything but. I hope Scott thinks I'm as good of a wife to him as he is a husband to me.
The last 5 years have been a wonderful journey and I look forward to celebrating another 60 more with my best friend.

I will be true to the promise I have made
To you and to the One who gave you to me
