Today I'm giving a tour of my house and how I decorated it for Christmas!! I do the same thing pretty much every year but I do like to mix it up a little bit. I went really colorful this year for Campbell. He's still too young to really appreciate it but I really love all of the colorful touches and I think I may keep this trend going for a while. It's a nice change to the monochromatic grey/cream colors I have in my house to have a lot of color!!
I love my stockings. I wish there was a good spot to put a monogram on them but oh well! Hard to believe we'll have six stockings hanging next year!!
I love what I did with my tree topper this year. I was looking for something fun and different and, as always, Pinterest inspired me. Thankfully my attic is like a little mini Christmas store (I have so much Christmas stuff--you wouldn't believe it if you saw it--I blame the addiction on my Grammy) so I never have to buy anything new. I grabbed the little HoHoHo from my attic Christmas store and it gave it such a fun touch!! I added big, colorful bulbs to my tree this year and picked my most youthful (ballet shoes, xylophone, candy canes, toy soldier, etc) and colorful ornaments to decorate the tree with.
I switched out some of the photos in my kitchen with some of my favorite holiday photos from last year. I always put glass ornaments in clear jars all throughout my house. I've done it for years and never grow tired of it.
I decided to do a little something to my entry this year. A mini tree, some white Christmas trees, a snowy photo of Campbell and one of my snow village houses is what you'll see when you first come into my home.
I also put Campbell's felt Christmas tree in the entry. He has more fun pulling the ornaments off and leaving them in a pile on the floor than he does putting them on.
Speaking of Campbell, I decided to decorate his playroom a tiny bit. He has a little mini Christmas tree and the cutest Melissa and Doug nativity scene. I also found this cute felt garland at Target for only $3 and it's perfect for draping around his teepee! We spend a lot of time in the playroom so I figured we may as well make it festive!!
That's pretty much all there is to it! I love my new Pottery Barn pillows that I got this year. They're so fun and I've always wanted to have them!!
Thanks for taking a tour of our Christmas home! Until next year!
