You know how you reach a point where you really, really need a break from life? I'm there. I don't get there very often but this is where I've landed currently. And I think my husband is with me. There's no particular reason why. The boys are great, everything is fine. It's just that Scott and I never get any alone time together. Ever. After a while it just gets to you. I feel like I'm never going to get to take a vacation again. So I'm just going to go and cry into a pillow at the thought of that.
Okay. I'll stop now.
It rained yesterday which was fun because we got to wear our new rain boots! This rain is making it cold here in NWA and I'm liking it. The neighborhood pool is closed, there's no sense in holding onto summer any longer!! I'm fully embracing fall not that it's hard to do. The leaves are starting to turn and it's so beautiful. I just wish it lasted a little longer.
We don't have many big plans for the weekend. I wouldn't mind picking up a few pumpkins for my front porch but other than that, nothing on the agenda. We'll probably make some game day food and veg out on the sofa while watching college football per our new Saturday tradition. Does anyone have any yummy game day foods that they love? We usually do ham sliders, a hot spinach dip and slice and bake cookies. I have THE best and easiest spinach dip recipe. I'll try to remember to share it with you soon!!
The sofa is calling my name. I've got laundry to do but it can wait. I just need to prop my feet up and watch some shows. We're going to give Designated Survivor a try. Is anyone out there watching it? We've heard it's good. We finished The Americans (love!!) so we need a new show to add to our list. I mean, not really but you know.
Until tomorrow....
