Easter 2017

I hope you all had a great Easter weekend! Honestly, mine was a bit of a bummer. Scott texted me on Friday while he was in a meeting saying he wasn't feeling good. He left the meeting early and got straight in bed. Later that evening he had a high fever and remained bed ridden until late Sunday night. I was all on my own for the weekend but tried to make the most of it. We had a neighborhood egg hunt Saturday morning then after it was over my MIL met up with me and the boys and we hung around downtown Bentonville. Saturday night some of my neighborhood friends were hanging out so once I got the boys down I popped over for a bit. I was really hoping Scott would be feeling okay on Easter but he wasn't so the boys and I got ready, hopped in the car and drove to church in the pouring rain. I was honestly really annoyed that Scott was sick. Not at him, just the situation. I kept telling myself to get perspective but it was bumming me out that he was missing a special holiday for our family and also Bennett's first Easter. The church service was great and my goosebumps had goosebumps on several occasions which is truly all that matters. I left the service feeling so overjoyed and amazed at what an awesome God I serve. I got in my car to head home and 'Oh The Blood' came over the radio and I sang to it and cried because that song ALWAYS makes me cry!!!!! The words are so powerful and amazing but it was especially awesome to hear them on Easter Sunday. I love that song so much. I love worship through music.
After a yummy lunch at home, the boys laid down for a nap then once they got up we had a mini egg hunt and photo session. I got so many cute pictures of the boys. I always take a lot of photos then delete the majority because they're either out of focus, blinking eyes or just no good. I typically end up with 30ish that I like. But this time I have over 70 photos that I love. I won't share all 70 with you but it's quite possible that I will share a lot over the next few days so there's your warning!
