30 Weeks

Thirty weeks. Say what? How can it be? I'm in the home stretch now and this baby will be here in the blink of an eye. I am feeling every bit of 30 weeks pregnant. My pregnancy app today said "baby 3 might be lowering himself down toward the birth canal, getting ready to be born." That would be very much a yes. I can tell he is in the beginning stages of dropping lower and lower. I'm just beginning to feel the pressure of his head which is a feeling I had forgotten about until it started happening just in the last 24 hours or so.

Size of Baby: Around 3.5 pounds and close to 17 inches. I can tell this baby boy is packing on some weight. He's starting to feel heavy in there and I know before too long he's going to start to feel too big in there too!!

How I'm Feeling: I feel pretty good overall. My back really hurts. It's fine in the morning but as the day goes on it gets worse and by the time I'm getting the boys ready for bed I can't take it anymore. I also had a moment yesterday where I thought to myself I'm just not sure if I can get out of the house with the boys anymore. It's just so hard to manage them with this big belly attached to me. Everything is harder when you're pregnant!

Cravings/Appetite: I crave water and I feel like I drink a lot of it. It just makes me feel better.

Clothes: It can be a struggle to get dressed every morning and feel cute. I have two pairs of leggings that are really comfy but everything else just isn't as comfortable to wear. My tops and sweaters are getting more and more limited mostly because of the length of them.

Movement: This little guy is moving pretty consistently and sometimes he wakes me up in the middle of the night because of it.

Changes in Me: The third trimester exhaustion is starting to kick in. I've taken a few naps this last week and I haven't felt like I needed a nap since the very beginning of my second trimester. I'm just slowly wearing out. I'm also getting the most painful round ligament pains in the middle of the night. I guess I toss too hard in my sleep and then immediately get woken from a sharp, horrible pain that takes at least a minute to go away. Longest minute ever.

Baby Purchases: I actually purchased a few things from Baby Boden just now. Last week I ordered some new baby hangers and they came in the mail today. I haven't washed any clothes yet but I have started to get everything out and hung in the closet. It's made me realize that I really don't have anything for him to wear for the first 2 months since it will be cold. Campbell and Bennett are spring babies so their newborn clothes won't work for a winter baby. Once it gets warm we're all set but I do need to get some cuddly little newborn outfits since he only has about 4 things currently.

Favorite Moment This Week: Getting out all of the baby stuff I've had stored in tubs and sifting through it. I remember when I put it up after Bennett had grown out of it all and thinking to myself I'd probably never get it back out again. It's kind of neat that all three of my babies will wear the same outfits. Newborn clothes are so tiny and sweet.

Looking Forward To: This weekend! We are going to Little Rock for my niece's birthday party. I'm looking forward to a little getaway for a few days. Scott and I want to go to the Restoration Hardware outlet and look for some stuff for the baby's room. I'm hoping we find some things while we're there like a rug and maybe a cool light.
