We got to see Santa yesterday! He came to our neighborhood clubhouse and it has been our best Santa experience to date. We didn't have to wait in any lines and were able to spend as much time with him as we wanted. The best part for me? I was able to bring my camera and take my own photos!
Unfortunately Bennett wanted no part of Santa. He cried when he saw him. He didn't even want to watch Campbell talk to Santa---he made Scott hold him outside of the clubhouse. We asked Bennett several times if he wanted to talk to Santa and he kept saying "umm no I'm fine." Campbell loved it though. He was a little shy at first but warmed up quickly and then as he was leaving, Santa told Campbell to write him a letter of everything he wanted and send it to him. So we said bye and went home and Campbell took that very literally. He wrote Santa a letter and insisted on going back to the clubhouse to give it to him. So we did. Campbell walked right up to Santa and handed him his letter that he wrote all by himself. The letter said he wanted a dinosaur and a dump truck for Bennett.
{This photo right here will officially be one of my very favorite photos ever!! I absolutely love everything about it and feel like I need to put it in a frame and set it out every single Christmas from now until forever.}
Santa kept Campbell's letter and gave him another candy cane then we said our final goodbyes. For real this time. Campbell acted like he was on cloud 9 for the rest of the day. Meeting and talking to Santa thrilled my little boy to pieces. Christmas is so magical for children and watching that magic through Campbell's eyes made my heart so full of happiness. I've heard from a very reliable source that Santa already has Campbell's dinosaur but the dump truck came out of nowhere so it looks like Santa's elves need to work on getting one of those ready for Bennett.
