Running and Tanning

Holla from Little Rock! I'm in a really good mood right now because I've had: 1 glass of champagne, 1 glass of a 1995 Bordeaux or actually maybe is was a Burgundy, and now a glass of Ambullneo which you know if my favorite wine of all time. Wooo Hooo! Good night.

I've planned all week on riding that bike around my parents neighborhood like I did a few weeks ago which made me almost pass out or get sick, one or the other.....or both. I'm still planning on doing that. We'll see how that pans out. I've been slacking a touch on my workouts lately. Instead of running for an hour I've been doing 30 but I've gotten the motivation bug again starting yesterday so that's good. I need to make sure I stay in good running condition for July 4th. My Dad and I are going to run a 5k together here in Little Rock! My top 25 things to do when I'm 25 was actually a 10k but I got on arkansasrunner.com and there is no 10k for me to run. NWA kinda sucks at the marathons. They're all in Little Rock. But I thought to myself 'well maybe 2 5k's could make a 10k?' and that's what I'm gonna have to go with. I'm looking forward to it. My Dad is a runner. Runs every morning. It's hard for me to keep up with him because his legs are way longer and he's more like a 9 minute mile kinda runner and I'm more like a 9 minute 25 second kind of girl. I know it doesn't seem like that much of a difference but it is. However, I'm happy to have someone to run with me for this 5k even if we aren't side by side! Good Father-Daughter activity.

Tomorrow we're heading to the lake! Woo Hoo. I'm planning on doing some good skiing and I'm in desperate need of a tan. I've always been one of those girls who was obsessed with a tan. I had a tanning bed growing up actually. At a function one time Jake said to me ' well you've won the tanning bed award tonight.' Then the study came out about a year ago on how they knew tanning beds were really bad but now we're finding out they're REALLY REALLY REALLY bad and it freaked me out so I've laid off. And I look odd to myself now. My Mom said to me the last time I was in Little Rock 'are you anemic?' So yeah....I need a tan and I'm looking forward to getting one tomorrow.

Okay I guess I'll enjoy this glass of Ambullneo then head to bed so I can (hopefully) get up in the morning for my bike ride then get ready for lake time!! Hope you guys have a great weekend!!
