i heart NY {part 2}

After Regis and Kelly was over, Hannah and I met up with the other girls at a really yummy mexican restaurant that I can't remember the name of. It was there that I got the phone call about my grandmother passing away so that lunch for me was a bit chaotic and I don't remember a whole lot about it.
After lunch all of us girls headed to 5th Avenue to do some shopping!! The other girls had lots of luck at H&M but I didn't. I can honestly say I've never found anything from there that works for me. How can that be possible right?!!! I decided to head next door to Zara and walked away with these cuties My skirt has some blue stripes in it but I couldn't find a picture of it. And since I knew I would be flying straight to a funeral, of course my main shopping priority was a black dress. I would have bought way more than these two little guys but I figured I'd find other things so I wanted to save my money. Sadly I didn't. I went to NYC and this was all I bought. Plus a pair of earings that I got off the street and a book that I left in the cab. Major bummer and total waste of $30.
After shopping we headed to the MET for the Alexander McQueen exhibit. Ehh. Just okay to me. I knew it would be weird because he always seemed to march to the beat of a different drummer so I didn't have high hopes for it anyway.
After the MET we walked through Central Park then took a cab to the hotel to get ready for the evening. We had a 9:30 (yes you heard that right....I was ready to eat my fingers I was so hungry) dinner reservation at Alta. It was a very fun atmosphere and the tapas I ordered were quite delish.
A lot of the girls were tired and ready for bed after dinner but a few of us stayed out since we were there for a bachelorette party after all. I suggested drinks at The London hotel so we went there for a nice and low-key glass of wine. After that we went back to our hotel to get ready for another day of fun!
