Snow Shorkies

I've been reunited with my precious little girls and I'm so happy! I've never been away from them for that long and I missed them so much. I FaceTimed my Mom early this morning (we FaceTime a lot) and asked her if she'd be up for meeting me halfway with the girls and she said yes. I was a little nervous about driving on the ice but it wasn't bad at all. The interstate was completely clear and the drive down was so beautiful because the trees were covered in snow and ice.
Mom and I met in Clarksville like we usually do and sat in the Wendy's parking lot with the girls and had lunch (chili) together. The girls were very excited to see me! I bet they wondered when in the world I was coming back to get them. We decided to bring Grace back with us!
Almost as soon as we got home, the girls put on their snow coats and went outside to play! They've played in snow before but it wasn't nearly as much as what we have now. At first they weren't quite sure what to think about it and they cautiously walked around but it didn't take long before they were hopping around like bunnies all over the yard!
The last time we had snow I didn't put any coats or sweaters on the girls and the snow stuck to them and they looked like a big snowball with fur. I had to give all three a bath immediately and I felt sorry for them because I know they had to be freezing! This year I was prepared. They now have two different snow coats plus a t-shirt to wear under them so there's no way snow can get stuck to them now. It worked out much, much better for us!!
I'm sure we'll be playing in the snow a lot tomorrow! I'm glad they love it because they sure do look cute flopping around in it! Until tomorrow....

  1. I love seeing pics of your dogs. They are the absolute cutest! My mom and I have two shih tzus and they love the snow but come in with snow stuck everywhere to them, like yours. I'll have to see if I can find them sweaters. :)

    1. Thanks Angela!! Sweaters/Coats make ALL the difference. The only thing that's wet when they come in from playing in the snow is their little paws!
