Preemie

Today has been another good day here in the Johnson house with our new little addition! I stretched Campbell's feedings to four hours again last night and it's amazing how much better that makes me feel in the morning. He actually woke himself up both times about 10 minutes before my alarm went off to wake him. I still do three hour feedings during the day. This new routine is definitely working better for us! My newest obsession is making sure Campbell is gaining weight. He's just so little!! He gained an ounce at our appointment yesterday and I was so happy! Haha. Having such a tiny little nugget on our hands has been a problem as far as clothes is concerned. He has 4 outfits and 3 pajamas. I've been doing laundry like crazy because sometimes we have multiple wardrobe changes in one day. I sent Scott out on a mission to search for some preemie outfits which, FYI, are super hard to find. He drove down to Fayetteville because Mom scoured Rogers/Bentonville for me already. Scott texted me photos of every preemie outfit he saw and I only ended up liking 2 things. Plus a new hat. I was disappointed that there weren't more options (I'm just a touch picky) but I guess 2 new items is better than nothing.
While Scott was out he ran a few more errands for me. He was gone a little over three hours and I got lonely while he was away. My Mom had to leave for a few days but she's coming back tomorrow and I'm so glad. When you're trapped in your house you eventually run out of things to do to keep you occupied. I never thought my house would be this clean with a newborn but I just keep doing chores since I don't have anything else to do!
I'm happy to report that the girls are really warming up to Campbell. Any time I lay him down on my bed they immediately run over and sniff him. Ivy even gave him the teeniest, tiniest kiss on the nose this morning and it was so sweet. It's like she knew she had to be extra delicate with him! I'm also happy to report that I don't think my girls feel neglected at all. Not much has changed to be honest. I know the older Campbell gets the more of my attention he'll need but since he sleeps the majority of the day the girls and I hang like we always have. I'm glad. I don't want them to feel neglected. They're my babies too!!!
