Bennett's 3D

Yesterday our boys gave us a fun filled day. First we had Campbell's music program then shortly after it was over, Scott and I got to see Bennett on a 3D ultrasound! I procrastinated a little too late and just made the appointment last Thursday. It's really best to schedule it around 26/27 weeks but I kept forgetting to book the appointment (second baby problems). Bennett was just a tad smushed already so we weren't able to see him as well as we saw Campbell in 3D. Plus he was snuggled up against the placenta the entire time (sorry, if you've never had kids before that's probably gross to you) so he made the ultrasound tech's job a little hard. However, we were able to get out of there with a few good images of our little boy and get an idea of what he looks like.
I actually do see quite a few similarities in Bennett and Campbell and when I hold their 3D photos side by side I think they look a lot alike. I tried to do a comparison pic to show you all but it wasn't really working out too well. You really need to see all of their photos to be able to tell and I didn't want to bore you with that.
This pic ended up being one of my favorites. I love being able to see his tiny little foot so clearly!
Bennett is already head down and the ultrasound tech said they typically don't flip at this stage if they're already down so that's good to know. Hopefully he stays that way! She also checked a few other things while we were there since I was having contractions on Friday and it worried me. Thankfully everything checked out perfectly which gives me some relief. I was so paranoid over the weekend that I was going to go into labor really early with this sweet boy. Now I have a peace of mind that everything is okay.
It was fun and exciting being able to check in on our littlest. I'm getting more and more anxious to meet him! With Campbell I was absolutely dying to meet him and I'm not saying I don't feel the same way about Bennett but this time around I'm definitely more content to just let things run their course and take their time. I started trying all sorts of self induction methods with Campbell at about 36.5 weeks (which worked since he came at 37 weeks!) and this time I'm not sure I'll do that unless I'm feeling miserable and want him out asap. I've been saying this whole time that I would really love it if he chose to come a few days after his due date. Scott tells me to stop saying that because I'll be changing my tune come 38 weeks! Bennetts due date is the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend and I would just love to enjoy all of the long Memorial Day weekend before he makes his grand debut. I don't know why, I just do. However, the day I turn 39 weeks there's going to be a full moon and that could very easily make me go into labor. We shall see I guess! Regardless, it won't be long before this sweet boy enters our world and I'm ready to give him all of the love I have to give.

  1. Getting so close! I cannot wait to meet Bennett. Addison is getting to big. I am really missing the newborn stage lately.
