Bennett | 7 Months Old

Weight: We had to take Bennett in today for the second part of his flu shot and he weighs 12 pounds, 14 ounces. A whole pound away from being on the charts. Ha! Little squirt.

Height: I didn't measure but I would guess 26 inches.
Sleep: Bennett now takes two naps a day! Woo Hoo!! I have been looking forward to getting down to just two naps a day for a long time and last week we got there. He naps around 9:00 and 2:00 and his naps last about 1-2 hours each. Bennett sleeps at night from 7:30 pm to 7:00 am. I bumped his bedtime back by 30 minutes because he was consistenly waking up at 6:30 every morning for a while. The first night I tried a 7:30 bedtime (instead of a 7:00 bedtime) he slept until 7:00 am! I guess he's just like Campbell in that he only requires 11.5 hours of sleep. He still can hardly take a car ride without falling asleep in there so he does get tiny cat naps in here and there.

Eat: Bennett is still exclusively breastfed and he nurses 5 times a day. He eats purees for breakfast and dinner as well. He likes his fruits and veggies and gets pretty excited about eating them!
Clothes: Bennett is in size 3-6 month clothes and pajamas.  He wears size 1 Freshly Picked Moccs and size 0-6 month beanies! I was just noticing last night that his size small Aden +Anais sleeping bag is too little so tonight we're going to break out the medium. I love those sleeping bags!!

Diapers: Still in size 2 Pampers Swaddlers and size 3 Pampers Overnight Diapers.
Likes: His paci, bath time, cuddles, Campbell, holding/playing with toys, sticking his feet in his mouth, smiling.

Dislikes: Bennett still gets mad when clothes go over his head!! He also doesn't like to be left out. If he's the only one left in the room for a minute, he lets you know he doesn't really appreciate that.
Milestones: Bennett can sit up on his own unassisted but he hasn't quite mastered it yet. After just a few seconds he topples over. I guess we're a little slow on this milestone! This is either because of his crazy chill nature or the fact that he weighs less than a leaf! Ha!! He's really good at bearing weight on his legs/standing while being supported and passing objects from hand to hand. He turns toward you when you make a sound or say his name. He reaches and grabs for everything.

Month Seven: Bennett has been more clingy this month and always wants to be held. He's turned into a drool machine and he's starting to pay attention to the television.
All About Bennett: Bennett's personality is really starting to show more and more. One thing is certain, this is one chill little man. The comments we hear the most about him from his caregivers at church are "he's so sweet" and "he's so chill." One of his mothers day out teachers said she's been watching babies for over 2 decades and Bennett is one of the sweetest she's ever been around! He just hangs out and smiles at you whenever you look his way. He makes little "dinosaur sounds" (as we like to call them) all the time and he's always flapping his arms like he's trying to fly away somewhere!! Pretty much everything goes to his mouth these days. I still can't get enough of my little guy and some nights I'm sad when it's his bedtime because I just want to keep cuddling him. He's so easy and so precious and I'm 100,000% obsessed with him. I love my Bennett!!
