Bennett | Eleven Months Old

Weight: We took Bennett in for a weight check on Friday and he weighed 17 pounds even which puts him at the 4th percentile!!! Bennett hasn't been on the charts since he was 5 weeks old so this was pretty exciting! He gained over 2 pounds in just 24 days (everyone was shocked!) so this little man has made up big time for all of the weight he lost while he was sick in January/February.

Height: Not sure. They didn't measure him and I always forget to. Whoops!

Sleep: Bennett sleeps from 7:30-7:00 and takes two naps a day at 9:00 and again around 1:30/2:30. Bennett loves his crib and is always soooo ready to go to bed at night. I try to rock him and he just sits up and pushes on me like "please put me in my bed."

Eat: I'm still exclusively breastfeeding Bennett and he nurses 4 times a day + has one bottle of breastmilk before bed. I only have a week's worth left of frozen milk for bottles and I'm about to start the weaning process so he's about to start dropping feedings. Honestly, he's beginning to wean himself. He's almost completely uninterested in nursing these days. He would rather have all of that yummy food!! His favorites are applesauce, peas and carrots, cheese and oranges. He ate 4 cuties today!!

Clothes: Size 6-12 month clothes and Kickee Pants. Size 1 Freshly Picked Moccs, Size 0 Sun Sans. Size medium sleep sack.

Diapers: Size 3 Pampers Swaddlers. He undoes his diaper tabs every time I put a new one on him. And he's just starting to get wiggly during diaper changes.

Likes: Campbell (his fav!), bath time, being outside, his paci (obsessed), riding in the cozy coupe, Mickey Mouse, Ivy and Madison, being held, eating applesauce, reading books, playing with toys, standing (he smiles so big whenever we stand him up), when someone sneezes (he thinks it's hilarious), playing pat-a-cake.

Dislikes: For the first time in his life Bennett is finally okay with clothes going over his head now! He doesn't like to be left out. If everyone leaves the room for a second and he's left sitting there, he lets you know he doesn't appreciate it.

Milestones: Bennett learned to clap his hands this month! He waves hi and bye and blows kisses. He plays pat-a-cake and has just started taking steps on his own when you hold his hands and encourage him to walk. He says Mama, Dada, and Baba (not specific). He dances by wiggling his head back and forth. If you do it, he'll always copy you!

Month Eleven: This month has been a huge growth month for Bennett---mentally and physically! Every week I would think "wow he's changed so much just in this last week." And then the next week I would think "wow he's changed so much this week!!" He's hit that stage where he's really blossoming and will soon be doing more toddler-like things vs being a little baby. It's crazy how different he is from just a month ago.

All About Bennett: Oh I can't believe my sweet baby Bennett is eleven months old. They say "the days are long but the years are short" but that isn't even true for us. The days are short since Bennett is such a little angel baby who makes life so easy on us! These last eleven months have truly flown by. I can't believe we're already here. I have loved watching Bennett grow, especially this last month. He is so enamored by his big brother and is the sweetest little boy who still has zero stranger anxiety and smiles so big at everybody. Years down the road, whenever I think about baby Bennett, I will always remember him with a huge grin on his face. He is such a happy little boy and an absolute delight to be around. We love our Bennett Graham so, so, so much!!!!
