Bennett | Two Years Old

Somehow this little cutie pie turned two years old today. I can remember him being in my belly like it was five minutes ago. Bennett's first year of life was just about the sweetest time ever. His second year was a little....louder. But oh my how this one lights up a room. He is my little love bug who think's he is much bigger than he is and knows I find him to be completely irresistible.
Weight: 28ish pounds? Forgot to weigh before I put him to bed.

Height: 33.5 inches. Measured tonight and he thought that was so fun.
Sleep: Bennett is an awesome sleeper. He goes to bed at 7:30 and sleeps until 7:00. He takes one nap a day around 1:00 for about 2.5 hours. Bennett still sleeps in his crib but I know he could handle a big boy bed if we wanted to transition him. The first two nights we were in our house, we didn't have any furniture so Bennett had to sleep on the floor for the first time ever. He did awesome and never once got up. He just laid there in the morning and waited on me to come and get him, same as big brother has always done. That right there is called sleep training your baby. It lays that foundation of good sleep behavior that continues well into toddlerhood and preschool ages. (Just sayin.) Proud I taught my boys healthy sleep habits!!

Eat: Bennett is an okay eater. He pretty much eats the same things all kids do. He loves peas and carrots and taking his vitamins. Smoothies and yogurt are his favorite foods. Bennett's absolute favorite thing is lemonade. Every time we drive by a Chick Fil A he yells "lenade!!!" (lemonade) and he thinks his day can't get started without his smoothie.
Clothes: Bennett wears size 24M clothes and size 5 shoes. He mostly wears all of his brothers hand me down clothes and shoes but of course he gets some fun new stuff as well. Bennett loves his red Hunter rain boots so much and always wants to put them on.

Diapers: Size 5 diapers and ready to potty train. Giving me all the signs and very aware of how it all works. I'm putting it off until July (I think) when we have a month off from school before the fall session starts back up. That's how I did it with Campbell and I thought it was really perfect timing and gave us a month to master it before starting school. So I'm just going to do the same with Bennett and enjoy those cute Honest diapers for a few more months.
Likes: Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, his paci (he calls it "daci" and I'm pretty sure he'll be going to college with it), playing cowboy, being outside, Campbell, playing in our garage, watching videos of himself on my phone, singing his Jesus songs that he's learned in school, balloons, bath time, lemonade, books, playing hide and seek.

Dislikes: When he doesn't get his way.
Milestones: Bennett is a good little talker. A little over a week ago he started saying "help me" "hold me" instead of "hold you" and I have no idea how he knows to say 'me' now instead. Like, who taught him that and why? #stayababy He always tries to repeat what we ask him to say, can follow instructions, and name body parts. Bennett can walk down and up the stairs like a big boy, he can jump, stack blocks, and point to correct objects when we're reading books. He tries so hard to be big like his brother and gets frustrated when he isn't capable of doing something.
All About Bennett: Oh this boy. I can't even handle his cuteness or how much I love him. He's the second little boy I never knew how much I needed. Watching my boys play together makes my heart burst and having two boys makes me so incredibly happy. Bennett is spunky and full of personality. He is an absolute mess and Scott and I sometimes just shake our head at him because he's such a stinker. He has the best smile, gives the sweetest hugs and loves to be snuggled ("huggle") with for the first 30 minutes of his day. He could sit in front of the TV and watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse all day long and he is so beyond obsessed with his paci that it makes me feel terrible to even take it away from him one day. He always has one in his mouth and one in each hand. Like, always. I totally failed at the paci weaning thing. Bennett does this cute little happy dance every time he gets a snack or treat. He is classic second child birth order personality and he brings an extra little sparkle and entertainment to our family dynamic. I am so, so thankful that God allowed me to be Bennett's mommy and I just want to squeeze on Bennett and kiss his cheeks a million times a day.
Happy 2nd Birthday Bennett!! You have no idea how much we love you!!!
