Gentry Zoo

We did something over our long weekend that I've been wanting to do for a very long time. We finally made it out to a little local zoo we have here in NWA and it was so much fun!
Campbell is my little animal loving boy so I knew he would have so much fun and he did. SO. MUCH. FUN. I had no idea what to expect but it was such a neat little experience! There were farm animals and zoo animals and you were able to pet and feed a lot of them.
I thought the kangaroos were cute and wondered if they noticed my own little joey in my pouch!
We walked around for a long time and saved the best for last--the giraffes!! I was looking forward to seeing the giraffe's the most and we were lucky enough to get there during snack time so we were able to feed them apples! It was so neat and Campbell kept wanting to feed them over and over and over.
We stayed here for a while and I was able to take some pretty cool pictures of one of the most beautiful and interesting animals God ever created!!!
We stayed for such a long time that we didn't have time to do the drive through part and see all the lions, tigers and bears. But I'm kind of glad because we can save it for another time! I can't believe it's taken me so long to finally visit this place considering I've lived here as long as I have. But it was worth the wait and seeing how much fun Campbell had made it even more fun for us. If you're ever in this area I definitely recommend going to the Gentry Zoo!

Long Weekend, Sweet Memories

We are having a really nice long weekend thus far. We took the boys to the zoo yesterday (more on that later!) and after church we spent the rest of our day at the pool! I'm trying to take advantage of the pool as much as I can because it's only going to be open for a couple more weeks and I am always so sad when it closes!! We're planning on spending our day at the pool tomorrow as long as the weather cooperates. If it doesn't we'll make other plans none of which consist of staying inside. I love long weekends and getting out of the house with my family, making memories.
Speaking of memories, I will forever remember this little outfit of Bennett's as one of my favorites he ever wore. I finally got some photos of him in it after church today. I think it's just way too adorable and I'm hoping to get the chance to wear it a few more times before we have to forever say goodbye to wearing this sweet, smocked bubble

Woo Pig Sooie

Woo Pig Sooie! College football is back and we're pretty excited about it!
Scott and I haven't actually gone to a Razorback game since we've had kids which is crazy because we used to never miss one. Honestly though, I don't really care. Don't get me wrong, I would love to get to go to a game and call the hogs. But I'm happy being home with my boys and watching the game on my TV while I wear my comfy pants.
I always try to make game days fun at home since we can't participate in the excitement on the hill. We all wear our Razorback gear and I make yummy game day food. We managed to get the boys to go down for their nap right as the game was starting so Scott and I were able to actually watch the game for a little bit.
After the game we took our little piggies outside to snap some photos. I love these cute boys in their game day gear! So glad we pulled out a W. Go Hogs!!

The Beginning Of September

This sweet little angel will be 4 months old in just a few days and I can't believe it! Bennett is just the sweetest little love muffin and I love cuddling him. I'm almost always holding him during his waking hours and I have to remind myself to put him on the floor to work on tummy time and rolling over. He just likes to chill in my lap while we watch big brother play and if he's not in my lap he likes to hang out in his swing and just look around.
I think Bennett is going to be even smaller than Campbell was if you can even believe it. I took him to the doctor last Thursday and he weighed just 11 pounds and 4 ounces which puts him in the 1st percentile. He's our peanut 2.0!! I'm looking forward to his next weight check when we go back for our 4 month appointment next week. He looks so skinny to me but I also think his height is really soaring so maybe that has something to do with it. I'm not stressed because I know I just have small babies but man I'd love a little bit of a roll somewhere even if it was just a tiny one! I always joke that I make a lot of milk but my milk is straight skim. I was hoping for 2% this time around but it's not happening.
Bennett is seeming so much more baby and a lot less newborn these days. He no longer sleeps in a swaddle, he gets his little legs moving so much when he's in his swing that it makes him sink down in the seat, he follows people with his eyes and still gives the biggest grins and cutest giggles. I find myself loving this age so much and it makes me sad to think about him getting bigger!! He's just so precious. And Campbell still loves his little brother SO much. He calls him "bubba" and loves giving him kisses. It's just so sweet to watch and even though I sometimes wish time would slow down, I also can't wait until Bennett is older so he and Campbell can play together. I know it will just melt me once they start doing that and I look forward to it so much!
