Campbell & Bennett's Closet
I get asked quite a bit where I shop for my boys so I thought I'd do a post and share where I get their clothes. I love dressing them in cute clothes and it honestly makes me happy and brings me a lot of joy, truly. A lot of people are under the false impression that boy clothes aren't as cute as girl clothes and my response to that is "you must not know where to shop!" Here's a roundup of my favorite places.
That's pretty much everywhere I shop for Campbell and Bennett. I think it's so fun to dress my boys--way more fun than it is to dress myself! What about you? Where do you like to shop for your kids? Share in the comments!! I might be missing out on something great and I definitely need to know about it.
Mini Boden
Boden is probably my favorite. I adore their clothes. I love shirts with appliques and Boden has such cute ones. This is my favorite place to get clothes for Campbell currently. He's in that inbetween stage where he's not a baby but not quite a big boy either. My philosophy is let them be little!!! Campbell has his whole life to wear his "man uniform" (aka a button down or polo with shorts or pants) so I want to dress him in stuff that he can't wear forever. I feel like Boden meets that inbetween stage we're currently in perfectly.
Gap Kids
I do shop at Gap quite a bit. I love the soft rompers that baby Gap carries and they always have a really cute selection. Rompers/One Pieces are my favorite thing to dress my boys in while they're little and I get the majority of them from Gap. Gap also has the best beanies and I love putting my boys in them. Girls get bows and headbands, boys get beanies!
Lily Pads/Toggery/Southern Style
I'm not sure if anyone loves that classic, southern look more than me! I know it's not for everyone but I think smocking and Jon Jon's is just about the cutest thing you can put a baby in. It's such a timeless look. One of my favorite websites to order these kind of clothes from is Lily Pads Boutique. They carry a lot of the same brands as The Toggery (Little Rock) and Southern Style (Bentonville). If you can't get to a local boutique who carries this style of clothes, Lily Pads is great.
Smocked Threads by Cecil and Lou
I also like to get a lot of my smocked, monogrammed and applique clothes from Cecil and Lou on Instagram. They also have the cutest swim suits.
Smocked Auctions
Smocked Auctions is another great shop on Instagram. I think Smocked Auctions always has the cutest Christmas pajamas. If you're looking for a monogrammed seersucker outfit, this is your place!
Shades Kids
I love, love Shades Kids. I discovered Shades Kids on Instagram when Campbell had just turned one. They make the cutest personalized baby products. I've not only gotten super cute bubbles, jon jon's and shirts from them but the boys backpacks that they take to Mothers Day Out are also from Shades. I've watched Shades Kids grow so much on Instagram over the last few years. I don't even remember how I discovered them but they only had around 1k followers at the time and now they have over 11k. A lot of people think their boy clothes are cuter than their girl clothes but I think everything they make is just adorable! It's one of my favorite places to shop for sure.
Zara Kids
I also really like Zara. It's definitely more of a hipster vibe but I really like that look too. They have great shirts and leggings. A lot of Campbell's pants this fall/winter were from Zara because they fit him well. Small waist, long length. They have a little section on their website called "shop by look" and I click on that and copy the way they style their clothes all the time. Sometimes they pair things I never would have thought to pair and it looks so cute! That's pretty much everywhere I shop for Campbell and Bennett. Who Wears Short Shorts....
The boys went to Mothers Day Out today so I got a few hours to myself and I really needed it. Sometimes it's give or take but today I was in need. I didn't do much but I did go to Old Navy and I found some jean shorts that weren't made just for 15 year olds so that was pretty exciting. Does anyone else struggle to find shorts? I feel like they're either so dang short that you can see your bikini line or the other option is Bermuda. What the heck? Anywho, I found some that were the perfect length today so if you're on the hunt, go to Old Navy. I also got a lot of plain ol' t-shirts in different styles and solid colors because that's my uniform and the entire store was 30% off so obviously I went for it.
Campbell took his Chase and Marshall (Paw Patrol) pups to school with him today. It's becoming comical how attached he is to his little "Paws." I got tickled because when he walked into the building holding Chase and Marshall, all of the teachers in the hallway and in the classrooms commented to Campbell about his Paw Patrols. I thought it was cute that they were all very much up to speed in the Paw Patrol world. I guess if you're surrounded by 2 and 3 year olds all the time it's impossible not to be.
That's all I've got for today. See you guys back here tomorrow!!

Sick Free Friday
Well we woke up today and neither Bennett or myself were sick. Woo Hoo! Drop the confetti. We celebrated by getting a super greasy cheeseburger and followed it up with a Nothin Bundt Cake because it's Friday and calories don't count.
After lunch and dessert, we went to Target and I put both boys in the jumbo shopping cart. I felt so silly and it made me giggle. Gotta admit though, having that basket with no kids in it sure was nice! I'm sure this will be our new thing. Sometimes you just gotta embrace the mom-ness and roll with it.
I am so tired today because I didn't go to bed until midnight and I woke up at 5:30. Sometimes Bennett wakes up in the middle of the night and talks to himself for about 45 seconds before falling back to asleep. Just long enough for me to wake up, look at the monitor and giggle in my head at hearing "ada"and "ra ra ra." Sometimes I can quickly fall back to sleep and sometimes I can't. On Friday nights Scott and I usually rent a movie but it looks like I'm going to go to bed just as soon as I get the boys tucked in.
I'll leave you with this. Campbell's "Paw House." He is so obsessed with his little Paw Patrols and today he made them a dog house. Tonight before bed he lined them all up and read them 4 books. One of them was a touch and feel book and he grabbed each of their front paws and had them feel. Haha!! He's cute.
Until next week!!

So Much Better Now
I took Bennett back to the doctor yesterday. They just wanted to check his weight and make sure he was doing okay since he was so sick and had lost so much weight when I took him in on Monday. I am so thrilled to report that Bennett has gained over 1/2 a pound in just 48 hours. The doctor thought it would take about a week for that to happen so the fact that it happened in 48 hours is so amazing! The nurses were cheering us on and the doctor said "what did you do?!" Ha! It looks like a few extra nursing sessions did the trick. I've also been giving him some baby oatmeal mixed with 3oz of milk once a day so I'm sure that helped too. It made me feel so good and relieved so much stress to see Bennett put some of that weight back on so quickly. Something I didn't share on Monday was that Bennett's skull got an indention in it because he was so sick. Apparently that happens when you get extremely dehydrated--I had no idea. When the doctor pointed it out it scared the crap out of me. I'm glad to know now so I can watch for it if it ever happens again (hopefully it won't, ever!!) but that little indention is going away as he's started to feel better and get rehydrated, thank goodness.
This sweet baby woke up today acting like his normal self again and I am so grateful. It was really sad seeing him so pitiful. He could hardly hold his head up he was so weak but now he's smiling and talking and laughing at his big brother again. Music to my ears.
I don't have a whole lot to say about this sweet toddler except he sure does make me smile a lot. He's repeating everything I say these days. Earlier this week when I was at the deli counter getting some turkey, he repeated every thing I was saying to the girl behind the counter. I couldn't stop laughing at him. Whenever I'm talking to Scott on my Bluetooth in the car, Campbell repeats everything I say. It cracks me up! He's so serious about it too, saying it just like I say it and not trying to be silly....just trying to be a grown up.
I forgot to share with you all how much I have loved wearing CC Beanies this winter. I think it's so hard to find a good beanie, do you? The top is always too long and gives me a cone head or they're too tight or just....not right. These are so great though and I have several different colors. If you don't have any, go get some! They're probably on sale now.
That's all for now. Fingers crossed that Bennett and I won't wake up with the stomach flu tomorrow! Hopefully we'll break the streak.
