Time For Another Holly Video!

Dirty Hair

Today is mine and Scott's 3 year dating anniversary! We're usually very celebratory about things like that but we're already starting to become an old married couple. We didn't do a single thing except say 'happy anniversary.' Scott told me we only need to celebrate our wedding anniversary. I disagree. I think we should celebrate every special date we have. He's just trying to get out of spending money on a nice meal and a present. Don't try to fool me!! It's alright. I'll just reminisce while I watch HGTV with extraordinarily dirty hair that hasn't been washed in days.
You know what? My hair is always disgusting. It really bothers my mother. She finds it totally unsanitary. I get it but I mean...come on!!!! I do hair ALL DAY LONG. What makes you think for a second that I care to do another head of hair? I've become very keen on headbands to try to snazz up my greasy messy bun. I used to never go a day without washing my hair. Even in high school I woke up at 6:45 every morning and washed my hair every. single. day. The only way that would happen these days would be if.......hmmm....I really don't know what event could possibly make me do that these days. That's why I avoid a cute haircut. Because I know I would never do anything with it. I always have a rubber band around my wrist and by noon, the hair is back in a messy bun. That's why I just stick to the boring, non-special, long layers do that easily pulls back. I never understand it when people come to me and say 'I want to cut my hair short so I won't have to spend as much time messing with it.' I want to so badly say to them 'you've got that backwards honey. The shorter the do the more you have to mess with it.' But I just do what I'm told.
I think I'm gonna go run a bath in my huge jacuzzi tub....and not wash my hair. I'm working out extremely early tomorrow because I have to take Scott to work since his car is in the shop. Might as well go to the gym early and get it over with. No sense in washing my hair if in about 15 hours it's going to get sweaty and gross right? Right. Okay well, off to my bath then to bed. Night!

Ark vs. LSU

How about that game last night huh? Nail biter. I was extremely disappointed but it was still a great game. Heartbreaking, but great. They played good and LSU still sucks.
Today has been nice. Woke up late, went to church, ate at Red Robin (told you I'm going crazy on the food 'til tomorrow) came home and watched the entire 6th season of Entourage with Scott. Now I'm watching AFV followed by Extreme Makeover-Home Edition, then of course, Housewives. Gonna eat the leftovers one last time then put them down the garbage. Actually Scott is ready to eat them now so I guess I might hop off. Short blog, I know, but I haven't had many thoughts lately. Just not a lot going on in that head of mine. :)
Please say a quick prayer for me. One of my brothers best friends has gone to be with our Heavenly Father. Thomas was an amazing man and someone my brother really looked up to. He was a great spiritual leader for Kyle and was always there when Kyle needed him. Kyle is devestated. Pray for Thomas's family and friends. He leaves behind his wife, Erin, 3 kids and a lot of people who loved him dearly.

Thanksgiving

My Thanksgiving Day was wonderful! I woke up and immediately turned on the parade! I love watching the Macy's parade. I've actually seen it in person but to be honest TV is way better. You just can't have Thanksgiving without the parade being on in my opinion. Scott and I got dressed and headed over to his mom's house. We hung around there until about 3 then headed home. My parents and Kyle drove in from Little Rock and got to my place about 4. Mom and I started cooking and Scott's dad came over around 6. We finally finished with all of our dishes around 7 and had a feast! It was delicious if I do say so myself. My family probably over does it with about a zillion dishes but who cares! It's Thanksgiving. Mom and I woke up early the next day and went for a long walk around my neighborhood then we went shopping!!!
I must say I feel extremely gross. Scott and I have been eating on leftovers and yuck! My stomach is poochy. To make matters worse, we just ordered Razorback pizza. Yum! I figure continue on with the bad eating through the weekend then get back to the gym/eat healthy on Monday.
Who's excited about Arkansas vs. LSU!!! In case you aren't aware you should know that I hate LSU more than any other team that exists. Can't stand em. I hope we kick their butt!! They're pretty good this year so I dunno though. I'm going to think positive!! Scott and I are about to head out to pick up our pizza then at halftime we're going to head over to his friends house to finish watching the game. All of Scott's best friends are in town and he's been spending tons of time with them. I'm sure we'll end up at Eddie's tonight.
I better hop off. I have a hot pizza to get!!!

Thanksgiving Host

Hello my fellow readers. I'm so bored right now. Scott won't be home for a while so what am I gonna do until then? Clean? Hmmm....I need to but I'm just not in the mood. Watch HGTV? Probably. My TV stays on that channel. Ew it's Holmes on Homes. My least fav.
So guess what I'm doing this year. Hosting Thanksgiving. Yeah that's right. I'm not stressed out at all about it. I was born for this! I think I've got all my groceries. Hopefully I don't have to make another trip to Walmart. Can you imagine how busy it will be tomorrow? I have to work tomorrow. Anyone else have to? I feel like Thanksgiving break should start Wednesday and I think for Christmas you should get the 23-2 of January. I feel it would be good for society. No one asked me though.
Hmmm....I'm so boring right now, I'm making myself sleepy. I guess I should hop off. I just turned on Entourage, you know, my new fav! Happy Thanksgiving week!

Movies

Last night Scott and I went to see The Blind Side. Okay....hands down, best movie ever....After Forrest Gump. I don't say that about many movies. This movie was so good I want everyone to go see it!!! I was very excited to see Houston Nutt make a cameo appearance. Even though he's not our coach anymore and I'm apparently supposed to dislike him. Scott was so embarrassed by me when he came on the screen I let out a little 'woohoo!!' He wanted to die. Well I'm sorry I was excited to see him and taken by surprise. A few other people in the theater clapped. Whatever, I'm a good audience when I see a movie leave me alone about it. Anyway you've just got to see this movie! So good. So so good.
Tonight Scott my mother-in-law, and I are going to see The Christmas Carol. I'm very excited about this one. I like to see movies this time of year!
Still on my movie list: New Moon. I know, I know, ya'll are probably surprised I want to see it since reading Twilight bored me to tears but I'm curious to know what happens. I'm almost tempted to read New Moon actually before going to see the movie. I don't have anything to do tomorrow or Tuesday. Maybe I'll get started on it. I have a feeling I'll like it the best even though I hear it's the most boring out of the series. Supposedly because Edward isn't in it very much. I'm just fine with that. You all know I'm not one of those grown adults with a creepy obsession over a fictional character that doesn't seem at all fantastic to me. It weirds me out that 40 year old women have him as their screen saver. Seriously? You're weird.
I do think I might start on the book though. Because once the previews started and I saw Jacob run out of a house and fly into the air and turn into a wolf (you know what part I'm talking about? It's only played on TV every 46 seconds) I was like 'woah wait a minute I thought he was just a little Indian boy I'm so confused.' And that's sparked my curiosity! Just that. Just little Taylor Lautner.
Okay I'm over this now. I need to go anyways. Dinner then A Christmas Carol. Night!

Can't Think of a Good Title

It's 5:30 and I just got a call from my husband telling me he was leaving the office! What? Excuse me? You're leaving the office before 7:00? Good for you!!! Scott and I have opted out of traveling to Little Rock this weekend for the game. So we're staying at our humble abode in Bentonville and we're gonna go see The Blind Side tonight! I've been dying to see this movie since I saw the first previews for it so I'm very excited! I don't really know what else we'll be doing this weekend. We'll watch the game on TV tomorrow of course. I would really like to get the outside of our house decorated for Christmas. I need a man to help me. I'm pretty independent and don't need a man to help me do much when it comes to getting stuff like that done but I honestly just don't feel like climbing on top of my roof to hang lights. Scott probably doesn't care to do that either. How much you wanna bet he hires someone?
So did everyone hear the news that whether or not the health care bill passes relies solely on Blanche Lincoln's shoulders? Talk about stress. I would not want to be her right now. She better nay that thing or her up and coming political career is O-V-E-R. 3 out of 4 people polled said they would not vote for her again if she passed it. Interesting....can't wait to see what she does.
Hmm...well okay I think I'm gonna go sit on the couch and watch TV. Nothing good is ever really on this time of day but E! News is coming on in 15. Have a great weekend!

Freebies

I'm home from work for a little bit because I don't have an appointment until 5:30 so I'm home sitting instead of the break room. I'm too ADD for the break room. Plus my phone battery was running out from all the perez and facebook reading so home I go....thought I'd blog. Don't really know what to talk about...
Last night Jaclyn and I met up at Bonefish for some dinner and drinks and some lovely gentlemen decided to pay for our meal! Ahh...so nice. Jaclyn was like 'that only happened because I was with you. You always manage to get free stuff.' This is so true. I know how to work it. I told a sad story in college once to this guy that someone stole $70 out of my wallet (true story not lying) and the reason I was drinkless at OTR was because I didn't have any money. Not only did he buy my drinks but he also gave me $50 to tide me over for the weekend. Scott feels as if it's my best quality because he loves when I get us free stuff. I could write a book about it. Hey that's actually a good idea....
Anyways, I'm bored and have no good thoughts......
I guess I'll be done now and start watching Oprah. I should probably get in my car and head back to work even though my apt isn't for another hour and 15 minutes. Bentonville traffic is the absolute worst ever. It'll take me a while to get there. Later!

Last Game Day

I'm not gonna lie I was really sad that last weekend was the last game day weekend in Fayetteville. I enjoy football games so much and it makes me sad that I have to wait a whole year for the next one! Of course I'm going down to Little Rock this weekend for the last home game but it's just not the same. I had a great time and already can't wait until next year!

New Obsessions

You know what I really love? I love coming home after a long day at work and a hard workout and hopping in the shower, wash my hair, put on my PJ's, then eat dinner and watch my shows while my hair air dries. I just love it and I'm not real sure why. I just really do. Wanna know what my new favorite TV show is? Entourage!!! Scott discovered it on HBO on Demand. I've always heard it's really good and like the male version of SATC. My husband and I are now both completely all the way obsessed with it. If you haven't watched it you should. If you have AT&T U-Verse they have it on demand right now starting with the very first episode. The whole first season is on. That's all Scott and I have seen plus a few of the last episodes of season 7 which is the last season they've filmed I believe. Anways, So Good!! Get into it!
Another new show obsession: Modern Family! So freaking funny. Loves it!
I'm also newly obsessed with Dermalogica. It's the skin care line we sell at the salon I work in. I've never really been into skin care before. Hair care, yes (duh) but never skin really. Well, now I'm officially obsessed. From what I've been told from our estheticians, dermalogica is the best skin care product line out there. Now my shower is not only stocked with 3 different types of shampoos but now 5 different types of skin care products. I'm hooked!! Now is the time for girls my age to start with the preventative stuff. Get startin on it girls! And I highly recommend dermalogica. Products of choice in case you look into it: Precleanse, Special Cleansing Gel, Daily Microfoliant, Multivitamin Power Recovery Masque & Pure Night Lotion. Ahhh!!! Loving it.
Okay it's time for Glee and Modern Family. Enjoy your night!

A Few Things

*I noticed the other day that I brush my teeth for entirely too long. I'm sure some people may think that's a good thing but it's annoying for me and I can't stop!! They won't feel clean if I don't brush them for 67 minutes. Okay exaggerating of course but really....I take too long to brush.
*Jake asked me one time if one day ever goes by that I don't make my bed. Absolutely not. Gross. I could never not make up my bed. I will be late to wherever before I walk out of my house with my bed unmade.
*I hate to defrost meat. Scott and I buy in bulk at Sams and I hate to 'thaw something out for dinner.' It's not like it's a big deal but I just don't enjoy doing it.
*I feel very stressed out these days. I'm at a point in my life where I really don't know what I want to do with my life career wise. I love what I do and would be sad to not do it anymore but I feel like it's not meeting my needs. You know what I mean? Yeah me either. It's constantly on my mind.
*I would love more than anything in the whole wide world to hop on a plane and go on a vaca to NYC and have a $10,000 shopping spree. I feel like that could really relieve some stress I have in my life. Actually Vegas would do too. Scott's possibly going on a work trip to Chicago in December and I told him I'm totally going. He said 'I'll be working all day and eating dinner with co-workers at night.' Uhh..SO! I think I could find a way to entertain myself in Chicago for a few days.
*I'm very much into The City. I've never watched it before and I'm obsessed. This doesn't help with my wanting to go to NYC thing. I really like Olivia even though apparently she's the show villain. I can't understand why from the 5 episodes I've seen?? She is gorgeous with amazing hair and super cute clothes. Her blonde boss seems like the you know what to me. Maybe I just need to keep watching longer. I'm looking forward to it coming on tonight!
*Today is my Dad's 49th birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD! LOVE YOU SO MUCH.

Holly & Her Ball

Arkansas vs. SC

This weekend was a great weekend! Kyle and Grammy came up to NWA to spend some time with Scott and I and go to the Razorback game! I was so excited to get to see my Grammy because I don't get to see her very often. We have a very close relationship so I always love to get to spend time with her! Holly came up too and she's going to spend the week with Scott and I! Kyle and Grammy got up late Friday evening and left Saturday night after the game. Kyle wanted to make sure he got back to Little Rock because he teaches a 4 year old Sunday School class at Fellowship. So Scott and I decided to have date night Saturday! We had a lovely dinner at Basil's then headed home to watch a movie. It was great! He's been working such long hours lately and we haven't been able to spend a ton of time together so it was nice to have a night just to us. When I say working late I mean he worked until midnight last week. Yes 12:00 a.m. So we were anxious to get some alone time. It was nice. We did our usual church routine on Sunday then shopped for Christmas tree's! It was an all-around great weekend! Plus the Hogs won and I didn't think they would! Very exciting game!

Memphis Friends

This past weekend our friends from Memphis, Wade and Alissa, came up to NWA to visit us! Wade is from Jersey and Alissa is from Cincinnati so they've of course never been to a Razorback football game. They got to our house late Friday and we took them to Eddie Haskells. We woke up early Saturday and drove down to Fayetteville. We had lunch at US Pizza on Dickson then walked them down to campus. We parked at our normal tailgate spot and had a great time tailgating! After the game we took them to Theos! For lunch on Sunday we introduced them to Crabbys! It was such a fun weekend and I'm so glad they took the time to drive all the way up here and experience this place that I love so much!

Engaged For 2 Years

I'm so bored. I've been bored all day. Kinda nice I guess that I had nothing to do. It sure would be nice if I had nothing to do with somebody. I've been lonely. The City kept me entertained. I've never watched it before but I very much enjoy. It shall become a new TV staple.
So it's 9:40 p.m. and Scott's still at work. Sad since today is our 2 year engagement anniversary. I'm okay up 'til 7:00. Past that is just too much for me. It's not his fault. He would rather be home more than I want him home. Anyways, guess I should get used to it. I've been warned by suppliers wives that this is how it goes. Neat.
I'm going to go back to watching my SATC on demand. Not that I haven't seen every single episode 372 times each. It's all that's on TV. After I'm finished with SATC it's off to Fred Clause on demand. If any of you haven't seen it you really should because it's a great movie!!!
Night! :)
